Prof. Antonino Raco is a specialist in Neurosurgery. It mainly deals with surgery of the column with minimally invasive techniques, disc herniations, spondiolistesi, micro-instability and scoliosis. It has considerable experience in spinal and brain tumors. Since 1994, as the first operator to the exclusion of minor interventions, he has performed more than 3000 high neurosurgery (benign tumor pathology and malignant pediatric and adult, cerebral vascular disease and spinal column and reconstructive disease). Currently he is professor of Neurosurgery at the University La Sapienza of Rome and Head at the University Hospital Sant'Andrea. Visit and operates primarily at clinics Pius XI and Villa Margherita in Rome. Has written numerous book chapters, he has authored more than 120 scientific publications indexed in PubMed on the various fields of Neurosurgery. He has participated as a speaker and "faculty member" to more than 200 mostly international Congresses and Meetings. In 2009 he held at the invitation of the Neurosurgery Department of the Harvard "Silber lecture" on spinal tumors at Massacchussetts General Hospital. He was invited for three years as International Spine Master by the American Association of Neurological Surgeons (Neurosurgery Society of the United States).
