Acute Otitis Media in children: small guide for parents
Acute Otitis Media (AOM) is a rather common problem in childhood, as it causes an infection of the middle ear with accumulation of mucus or pus. This condition manifests itself with inflammatory signs and symptoms that appear within 48 hours and are associated with an effusion in the tympanic cavity. It is the most frequent bacterial pathology in children, which affects at least one episode in the first three years of life.
