Laparoscopic surgery: function and evolution
From the 1980s onwards, surgery has undergone a radical change, shifting its goal from intervention as an end in itself, aimed at removing the disease, to intervention aimed at improving the patient's life as a whole. In fact, new techniques have been created to reduce trauma, allowing the same results to be obtained and limiting the possible complications caused by the surgery itself.
