Lumbar Discectomy
Lumbar discectomy is a surgery done when the patient has a herniated disc in one of his spine. That is, when the pad that helps separate the vertebrae ( bones of the spine ) has come out, all or part of your workplace. This causes back pain that spreads to the legs, causing severe weakness in the muscles. The surgical procedure can remove part or all of this pad to end pain. To carried out the surgery (which takes about two hours ) hospitalization of the patient and spinal or general anesthetic is required. The specialist makes a cut in the back and, through a microscope, locate the damaged discs; once removed, suture the wound with stitches or staples.
