Laxatives
Laxatives are preparations which cause the elimination of feces or stool. Laxatives are used short-term to relieve symptoms of constipation in patients suffering from heart disease, hemorrhoids or other problems. Laxatives soften the stool, a fact which facilitates the removal of the same. Are in the form of capsules, tablets, liquid and syrup to take by mouth, suppositories are also anally. It takes one to three days of regular use for the drug to take effect, do not abuse laxatives because they can cause serious problems such as intestinal paralysis, pancreatitis or irritable bowel syndrome, among other consequences.
